Christopher Mensah is a marketing oriented pharmacist with over ten (10) years’ total experience in the pharmaceutical industry spanning the areas of Regulatory Affairs, Hospital Pharmacy and Community Pharmacy Practice with a concentration in Pharma Sales and Marketing in various territories and a cross-functional business exposure.
He began his career as a the first southern sector Medical Representative of Aurobindo Pharma Limited, under the agency of Kama Health Services, going through the mill there to become the Kama Group Marketing and Regulatory Affairs Pharmacist for its local and international business, navigating the product registration, regulation and marketing environment with agencies such as the NAFDAC, FDA, Pharmacy Council, GIPC, MoH and GRA.
Five (5) years on, he moved on to help Adcock Ingram(AI) Healthcare of South Africa establish footprints in Ghana after it acquired majority shares of Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Limited from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) as a Marketing Pharmacist, marketing Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD) products and later, Adcock Ingram products. After a year and half in this role, he was promoted into the management team of the company beginning as an acting Depot Manager and rising through the level of a Regional Sales Manager and then finally as a full Territory Manager in charge of sales, marketing and general business operations.
He joined Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited in the latter part of 2016 as the Technical Administrator, assisting the General Manager of Marketing and Business Communication.
He is a holder of a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree, a Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) , a Certificate in Investment Advisory and Stock Brokerage from the GSE and a pursuant of a Master of Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Pompeu Fabra.
